From Saudi Arabia to Georgia, Rotana is building a broader portfolio around changing travel habits.
- Rotana has 40 properties and 8,334 keys currently under development.

- AI tools are changing how Rotana connects with guests.
A hotel trip from Dubai increasingly means more than checking into a familiar city address. Regional travellers are looking for mountain escapes, longer stays, family-friendly breaks and properties closer to emerging destinations. Rotana hotels are following that shift, with 40 properties and 8,334 keys now under development across its expanding regional portfolio.
Saudi Arabia sits at the centre of that expansion. Ten Rotana properties, representing 1,404 keys, are currently in progress across Riyadh, Jeddah, Makkah, Hail, Abha and Al Baha. The geography is telling. Established business and pilgrimage hubs sit alongside destinations attracting more domestic leisure travellers.
For UAE travellers, the appeal is easy to picture. A weekend in Riyadh looks different from a stay near the Grand Mosque in Makkah, while Al Baha and Abha offer access to a cooler, more mountainous side of the Kingdom. Rotana’s pipeline includes The Residences by Rotana at Thakher in Makkah, with 240 apartments designed around pilgrims, long-stay residents and business visitors.

Across the UAE, the group is also responding to different kinds of trips. Bloom Arjaan by Rotana opened in August at Marsa Al Saadiyat with 217 serviced apartments, giving visitors to Abu Dhabi more flexibility around short and extended stays. Meanwhile, Rotana Ras Al Khaimah, The Mangroves is expected later this year with 258 rooms overlooking the mangroves and Arabian Gulf. Weekend plans just got broader.
Then comes a rather different setting. Ski-in, ski-out access isn’t the first thing that comes to mind when thinking about a Middle Eastern hotel group, yet Rotana has signed its first ski resort in Gudauri, Georgia. The dual-property development will have around 400 keys, with winter sports, summer visits, family facilities, dining and wellness all part of the concept. Snow changes the picture.
Back in the hotel room, technology is becoming just as relevant as the destination outside the window. Rotana is expanding Rotana DISCOVERY while developing Rotana Chat AI, a Voice AI pilot and a data and AI partnership with Microsoft. For guests, that could mean quicker assistance and more direct digital interaction without replacing the human side of hospitality.
ATM 2026 offers a useful snapshot of where Rotana is heading next. From Saudi cities and Abu Dhabi apartments to Georgian ski slopes, the strategy is less about adding addresses and more about matching different ways of travelling. Explore Rotana’s latest developments at the group’s ATM stand and see where the next stay could take you!
