A familiar evening in Riyadh can easily end with everyone reaching for the remote, scrolling through options and asking the same question: “What should we watch?” Disney+ Saudi Arabia is giving that moment a new shape, with a refreshed app designed around more personalised recommendations and easier discovery. From 6 October, viewers across the region will get access to the new Disney+ experience, which learns from individual viewing preferences to make recommendations feel more relevant over time. For parents, the evening viewing routine gets another layer of control. Enhanced parental settings and Junior Mode, known in Arabic as عالم الصغار, create a dedicated space for younger viewers, giving families more control over what children can access.
A child can have their own space while parents browse the wider catalogue, making Disney+ easier to fit into everyday family routines. That could mean cartoons after school, a family film on Friday night or a quieter viewing session before bedtime.
Language can change how a familiar story feels. Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 5 will become the first film from The Walt Disney Company to receive a Saudi Arabic dub, alongside Modern Standard Arabic and Egyptian Arabic versions. That’s a significant local touch.
The adaptation brings Saudi actors, comedians and creators into the voice cast, including Ibraheem Khairallah as Buzz Lightyear and Sohaib Qudus as Woody. Familiar characters get familiar voices. For Saudi families, that makes a much-loved franchise feel closer to everyday conversation and local humour.

Turkish drama fans will also find Season 2 of “Halef”, while Korean storytelling gets another boost with “Merry Berry Love” arriving on 7 October and “The Remarried Empress” following in November. Travel adds another practical twist. The refreshed Disney+ experience will allow customers to stream while travelling across Europe, the United States and beyond, giving frequent travellers a way to keep their familiar watchlists close. Pack the charger.
