The new Fujairah store will be the second of its kind in the UAE, following the successful Al Wahda Mall in 2020. This one-level store will be 2,750 square meters to offer a comfortable and enjoyable shopping experience. Customers can look around a market with take-home accessories where they may feel, pick up, and test home furnishing solutions for themselves in an inspiring environment.
A testament to the company’s efforts to know its customers’ local needs, the store spreads over 37,500 sq.mts and has seven room settings designed as per the local lifestyle and culture. Here, almost 47% out of the total of 4,000 articles are sustainable, indicating IKEA’s dedication to a healthy and sustainable way of living. The store is poised to receive LEED Gold certification from the US Green Building Council, which identifies its energy efficient and environmentally conscious building. This ensures that the store is 10% more energy-efficient, uses 55% less water, and has enhanced air quality.
Al-Futtaim IKEA is committed to ensuring fairness and equality, and close to a 50:50 ratio of men and women are present among the workers. Store design is a great example of IKEA’s Democratic Design — principles that enable access to affordably designed, functional, and sustainable products.
The store includes a Culinary Treat Fujairah, with the city’s first Bistro and Swedish Food Market attached in easy reach of the shopping. It is set to offer a range of sustainable food from plant balls, ASC certified salmon to UTZ certified coffee. The Bistro and Swedish Food Market feature self-serve order and pay kiosks along with take-away checkouts.
This store has an entire set of services designed to offer the customers the very best shopping experience, that comprise Interior Design Services, Assembly, Delivery, Kitchen Services, Installation Services, Measuring Service, Gift Cards, and Sewing Service. Such services make shopping an easy and convenient experience for the customer while also making it easy to envision their dream home.
