This year, Aquaventure After Dark is giving that after-work, weekend-energy feeling a seriously unexpected setting: a waterpark at night. And yes, the slides are staying open.
There’s something different about a familiar place after sunset. At Atlantis The Palm, more than 105 slides, rides and attractions will take on a completely different mood during this one-night event on Friday, 9 October. It gets loud.
For thrill seekers, the biggest draw may be tackling Odyssey of Terror under dynamic lighting, lasers and stage effects, while Blackout brings its towering vertical drop into the night. Over at Immortal Falls, the region’s first cliff-jumping experience adds another reason to swap the usual dinner reservation for something considerably wetter.
Music changes the rhythm. At Torrent Beach, the main stage and headline performance will sit against the backdrop of Neptune Tower, while Trident Tower takes a more culture-led approach with emerging sounds, social experiences and guest activations. Meanwhile, a dedicated competition zone will keep groups busy with interactive challenges and prizes. There’s plenty happening.
Then comes the part Dubai does particularly well, food. Poseidon’s Village will serve loaded hot dogs, burgers, oven-baked pizza, Asian specials and vegan dishes, alongside the signature Atlantis strawberries with chocolate drizzle. Snappers brings its own diner-style lineup, including loaded fries, buffalo popcorn chicken, flaming shrimp waffle cones and vegan burgers. Midnight snacks, sorted.
For anyone who’d rather make a full day of it, there’s a clever option. Guests with a Day Pass can add After Dark and move from daytime rides to a dedicated Aquaventure Beach area once regular operations end, without leaving the park and returning later. Friends can start with slides, pause for food and finish with DJs.
That format feels particularly suited to Dubai’s social calendar, where a single evening can stretch from sunset by the beach to dinner, music and something completely spontaneous.
