Beyond Bikes: DTC and Keeta Now Pioneer Futuristic Last-Mile Delivery!

  • Dubai Taxi Company (DTC) and Keeta (Meituan’s international arm) sign a strategic partnership at GITEX.
  • The partnership aims to integrate drones and autonomous vehicles into last-mile delivery logistics.
  • DTC will immediately deploy 150 new delivery motorbikes, scaling to 500 by year-end.
  • The collaboration aligns with Dubai’s vision for connected and sustainable mobility and e-commerce growth.

The future of logistics is taking flight in Dubai. The Dubai Taxi Company (DTC) has announced a major strategic partnership with Keeta, the international subsidiary of Chinese delivery giant Meituan, aimed at pioneering next-generation logistics solutions across the emirate. Signed during GITEX, this agreement positions DTC at the forefront of mobility innovation, moving seamlessly from traditional transport to autonomous delivery and advanced e-commerce solutions.

Dubai’s on-demand delivery market is booming, with online food delivery revenues alone projected to surpass AED 5 billion in 2025. DTC is capitalizing on this growth by significantly enhancing its foundational capabilities.

  • Immediate Fleet Expansion: DTC will deploy an initial fleet of 150 delivery motorbikes, with plans to rapidly scale up to 500 bikes by year-end. This robust commitment bolsters DTC’s existing fleet of over 2,000 delivery bikes, which saw revenues increase by 102% in Q2 2025. This scale-up is expected to generate over AED 10 million in revenues during the first twelve months alone.

Mansoor Rahma Alfalasi, CEO of Dubai Taxi Company, highlighted that the collaboration supports Dubai’s vision for a connected and sustainable future, maximizing fleet potential and diversifying services beyond traditional passenger transport.

The true strategic value of the Keeta partnership lies in its commitment to exploring high-tech futuristic solutions. Keeta brings Meituan’s global expertise and advanced logistics technologies from its highly successful Asian operations to the UAE.

Both companies will collaborate on integrating drones and autonomous vehicles into the delivery ecosystem. This move reflects a global trend toward developing smart, efficient, and sustainable delivery networks, reducing reliance on conventional traffic flow and lowering the environmental impact of last-mile delivery. This bold pursuit of next-generation logistics ensures DTC remains a leader in the rapidly evolving mobility landscape.

Alex Wei, Logistics General Manager of Keeta Middle East, affirmed the goal: “This collaboration combines DTC’s strong local capabilities with our world-class innovation to build a smart, efficient, and sustainable delivery ecosystem.”

The strategic partnership between DTC and Keeta accelerates Dubai’s transition toward a truly smart, connected city. By investing in autonomous delivery and rapidly expanding its last-mile fleet, DTC is firmly positioned at the forefront of e-commerce and mobility innovation.
