From 1 to 7 September, customers in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain can order from any food delivery platform and still earn 20% cashback from Careem, up to AED 30. There’s just one extra step. Screenshot the order, send it to @careemuae on Instagram with the phone number linked to your Careem account, and the credit arrives in your Careem wallet within 24 hours.
A busy weekday lunch is where this could get interesting. Someone ordering a shawarma bowl between meetings, a family arranging dinner after school, or friends deciding on pizza after an evening drive through Abu Dhabi can use whichever delivery app they normally prefer. The order doesn’t have to come through Careem.
Food delivery in the UAE is already becoming a bigger part of how people eat, with orders rising 15.2% year on year during the first half of 2026. For customers, convenience still wins, but so does getting something back from the spending they were already planning to do. Careem’s offer taps directly into that habit rather than asking diners to change their restaurant plans.
