This October, Kinara by Vikas Khanna invites Dubai diners to Utsav, the debut of Forgotten Flavours on October 3. The one-night multi-course event pairs Chef Vikas Khanna’s reimagined festival dishes with curated Sula Wines selections, and includes a meet and greet plus a bespoke keepsake for guests. Limited seating keeps the evening intimate and story-driven.
Kinara at JA Lake View Hotel has earned a reputation as one of Dubai’s premier Indian fine-dining destinations, known for immersive spice displays, arresting interiors and a menu that balances authenticity with contemporary presentation. Forgotten Flavours arrives as part of Kinara’s sixth anniversary programming, inviting diners to slow down, taste thoughtfully and connect with regional food stories.
Utsav, Festivals of India, opens the quarterly Forgotten Flavours series with a multi-course narrative that reframes festival dishes for a modern table. Each edition is built around a theme; future chapters will spotlight The Royal Kitchens of India, Peninsular Cuisine, Nomadic Food Traditions and Forgotten Grains. Sula Wines will curate grape pairings to complement the menu, bringing a wine pairing element that underlines both flavour and provenance. Guests also receive a bespoke keepsake and a printed menu that tells the stories behind each dish.

This is a designed evening as much as it is a tasting: expect live storytelling, a sommelier-led pairing by Sula, and a chance to meet Chef Vikas Khanna in person. The event is strictly limited to 60 guests and priced at AED 650 per person, making it an intimate, collectible dining moment rather than a run-of-the-mill tasting. For chefs, food professionals and keen diners, the series promises practical takeaways and renewed appreciation for India’s culinary textures.
