Dubai Design District (d3) is the place to be this Eid Al Etihad, as two giants—LEGO® Middle East and Mercedes-Benz—collaborate to create an awe-inspiring, life-size LEGO replica of the legendary G-Wagon. Weighing in at 972 kilograms and assembled from 445,971 LEGO bricks, this astonishing G 500 4×4² is more than just a display—it’s a symbol of craftsmanship, creativity, and celebration. Perched alongside its real-life counterpart on artificial LEGO-built rocky outcrops, the duo invites visitors for an immersive journey into luxury and innovation from November 28 to December 7.

Beyond the thrill of seeing this masterpiece, visitors can contribute to building a massive LEGO mural of the UAE flag, marking the nation’s 53rd anniversary. “The G-Wagon holds a special place in the UAE,” says Kristian Imhof, General Manager of LEGO Middle East and Africa. This tribute reflects the shared love for adventure, luxury, and engineering excellence that both brands represent, creating a unique platform for national pride and creative engagement.

Adding more flair, d3’s Senior Vice President, Khadija Al Bastaki, highlights how this event fosters multi-generational creativity. As visitors help craft the UAE flag, they become part of a living artwork that honors the UAE’s diverse and innovative spirit. For the technically inclined, LEGO Technic Mercedes-Benz sets, complete with working steering and six-cylinder engines, are available for purchase, blending play with real-world engineering marvels.

LEGO’s life-size vehicle builds are nothing new to the UAE, with previous successes like the LEGO Technic Lamborghini Sián and the world’s largest LEGO Formula 1 car in Abu Dhabi. Yet, this G-Wagon creation—built over 2,285 hours—is set to steal the show, offering fans a chance to sit inside and experience a masterpiece like never before.
