Imagine touching down in Dubai after a long flight and finding a LEGO® set rolling down the baggage belt with your kid’s name on it. Yep, that actually happened.
In one of the most delightful airport moments we’ve seen this year, LEGOLAND® Dubai Resort teamed up with Dubai Customs and Dubai Airport to pull off a surprise Eid gift drop that turned a routine arrival into a mini magical moment. On June 8th, families landing at Terminal 3 were greeted not just by passport stamps and luggage carts—but by LEGOLAND gift bags casually cruising the baggage carousel like rockstars.
Each custom-labeled bag was packed with kid joy: LEGO sets, plush toys, and golden tickets (read: complimentary entries) to LEGOLAND Dubai Theme Park or Water Park—valid until December 3rd. The experience was topped off by appearances from LEGOLAND’s iconic Boy and Girl characters, who took the selfie game up a notch.

The collab hit just the right note during Eid Al Adha, tapping into the UAE’s “Year of Community” theme by turning a simple airport moment into a memory-making welcome. “We wanted to bring a little extra magic right to Dubai airport,” said Tim Harrison-Jones, GM at LEGOLAND Dubai Resort. Judging by the kid-sized gasps and parent-sized grins, mission very much accomplished.
Dubai Customs was also in on the magic, showing that enhancing travel isn’t just about speed—it’s about soul. “This initiative left a positive impression on travelers and reflects our commitment to making Dubai a global tourism capital,” said Khalid Ahmed, Director of Passenger Operations at Dubai Customs.
So next time you’re waiting for your suitcase to roll in, keep an eye out. In Dubai, even the baggage belt knows how to throw a party!
