The 10th edition of the MEBAA Show 2024 solidified its position as the leading business aviation event in the Middle East and North Africa, setting the stage for transformative advancements. Held at Al Maktoum International – Dubai World Central (DWC), the event welcomed an impressive 10,000 international attendees from over 100 countries, showcasing groundbreaking innovations and fostering impactful collaborations.

Day two witnessed landmark announcements and forward-thinking initiatives that reinforced the UAE’s commitment to being a global aviation hub. The UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) unveiled its Golden Package for Registering and Operating Private and Business Aircraft, streamlining operations and enhancing flexibility in alignment with the UAE’s Vision 2031. Falcon Technic also received the first Approved Maintenance Organization Certificate under the GCAA’s Flexibility Initiative, underscoring local support for aviation excellence.

Meanwhile, industry-defining agreements took center stage. RoyalJet and Airbus Corporate Jets signed a significant MoU for the purchase of three ACJ320neos with additional purchase rights for six more, marking a milestone in fleet expansion. SKYNA and KAMS Global announced a collaborative MoU for aircraft leasing and purchase in Saudi Arabia and beyond, while Comlux unveiled its cutting-edge service center at DWC.

The BizAv Talks conference continued with insightful sessions focused on sustainability and innovation. Keynote speaker Rolland Vincent, Creator/Director of JETNET iQ, highlighted the Middle East’s robust growth in business aviation, with activity three times the GDP rate in the region. Panels featuring global leaders emphasized the need for investments in Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) and innovative business models to drive sustainable growth.

The final day of MEBAA 2024 delivered a spectacular conclusion, drawing the curtain on an event marked by record-breaking participation and visionary discussions. Over 145 exhibitors and more than 30 aircraft were showcased, including the luxurious Luxury Boulevard sponsored by Falcon, which merged high-end brands with iconic business jets.

Notable announcements continued, with Honeywell and Sino Jet advancing collaborations in aviation technology, and Ayla Aviation LLC partnering with Satpelda Satellite Imagery to enhance aerial services. MD Onboard also unveiled cutting-edge inflight medical advisory solutions, prioritizing passenger safety and operational excellence.

The day’s highlights included the NextGen Leaders programme, where students engaged with top aviation executives to explore career pathways and acquire insights into the skills needed to thrive in this dynamic sector.

Concluding the BizAv Talks series, a thought-provoking session on Trade Secrets and Insights for Aircraft Owners provided practical advice on navigating aviation market complexities. Experts highlighted the resilience of the private jet resale market and its readiness for a stable 2025.

Chad Anderson, CEO of Jetcraft, shared: “Unlike recent years of supply challenges, the industry now has healthy order books and adequate supply, making it a promising time for the private jet market.”
