Steak Frites Dubai has always been one of those deceptively simple pleasures. A good cut of beef, proper French fries, a classic sauce and the right atmosphere around it. Nothing more required. Chez Wam, the modern French restaurant at St Regis Gardens on Palm Jumeirah, has clearly understood this, and starting April 15 they are doing something about it. In partnership with CarniStore, the premium meat specialists, the restaurant is launching Steak Frites Nights, a new midweek concept running every alternate Wednesday through to June 2026.
Chez Wam is a sultry rooftop space from the Rikas Group, rolling to the beat of a curated playlist of chilled-out French disco, with a moody, low-lit ambience that transforms as night progresses, welcoming DJs to open decks for early hours dancing. It is exactly the kind of venue where a concept built around quality meat and good music makes complete sense. The pairing is not forced. It feels like the restaurant doing what it already does well, with a sharper focus and a reason to show up on a Wednesday.
The menu is refreshingly uncomplicated. Three steak cuts, each paired with green salad and French fries, plus a choice of three classic sauces. Here is the breakdown:
- Flank Angus MB4 (200g): AED 110
- Tenderloin Angus MB4 (180g): AED 160
- Ribeye Wagyu MB6-7 (280g): AED 260
For sauces, the choice sits between peppercorn, mustard cream with beef jus, and béarnaise. All three are the right answer depending on your mood and your cut. The béarnaise with the ribeye Wagyu is a combination that needs no further explanation. CarniStore’s involvement is the reason the sourcing holds up. The brand has built its reputation entirely around premium, properly graded beef, and the Marble Scores on both the Angus and Wagyu selections signal quality rather than just a number on a menu.
Chez Wam is a contemporary experience that marries food, music and community, with a bar and DJ booth that move the evening from dinner into something more alive as the night goes on.
