In a groundbreaking collaboration merging literature with the dynamic world of short-form content, TikTok proudly announces its partnership with the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature (Emirates LitFest) to unveil the #BookTok Challenge. This initiative aims to unleash the creative prowess of passionate readers, authors, storytellers, and educators in the MENA region.

With an impressive 209.3 billion views worldwide, #BookTok has become a vibrant hub on TikTok, uniting book enthusiasts globally. This community celebrates the enchantment of delving into captivating books, sharing beloved reads, and fostering connections in delightful ways.

TikTok and Emirates LitFest invite book lovers and creative minds to participate in the #BookTok challenge from January 9 to January 22. Users are encouraged to showcase their passion for books through captivating videos, with a chance to be honored during the Emirates LitFest closing ceremony on February 4.

Participants can use the hashtag #BookTok to share videos related to their reading habits, storytelling, reviews, book recommendations, and trends. Renowned international literary agents attending the festival will also contribute engaging videos to the #BookTok page, providing an immersive experience for avid book readers.

Submissions with the hashtag #BookTok will be open for public voting from January 22 to 25. A judging panel, featuring global authors Sara Hamdan, Cecelia Ahern, and Salha Obeaid, will select five winners and five runners-up. The official announcement, scheduled for February 4, will include a special performance by Emirati musician Rashed Alnuaimi.

Winners will receive an exclusive Montegrappa Hemingway pen, a symbol of literary legacy and luxury. With only 100 of each type available, these pens are crafted with diamond-cut sterling silver trimmings, embodying both rarity and excellence.
