Chery Kids Workshops: A Fun, Creative Day Out for UAE Families

Children can customise miniature cars and share their designs in a nationwide competition.

  • Children can customise miniature Chery cars using their own colours and ideas.
  • Workshops arrive in Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi this November.
  • Finished designs enter an Instagram competition with grand prizes awaiting winners.
  • The initiative gives families a creative way to spend time together.

A child handed a handful of colours and a miniature car can turn an ordinary afternoon into a surprisingly serious design session. There are paint choices to debate, details to perfect and plenty of opinions to share. Chery kids workshops are bringing that creative energy to showrooms across the UAE this November, giving children a chance to put their own ideas on four wheels while parents join in.

For families looking to swap another screen-led afternoon for something hands-on, the format is refreshingly simple. At each session, children receive a miniature Chery car to customise, experimenting with colours and creating a design that feels entirely their own. No two ideas need to look alike.

The workshops begin on Saturday, 7 November, at Chery’s Sheikh Zayed Road showroom in Dubai, before moving to Sharjah on 14 November and Abu Dhabi on 21 November. Each session runs from 11am to 4pm, leaving families time to drop in during the day and watch their young designers get to work. Expect plenty of concentration around those little cars.

There is a second chapter after the colouring and customising are finished. Each completed design can be entered into an Instagram social media competition, giving children a chance to share their creations beyond the showroom. Grand prizes await the winners. It adds a little excitement to the activity, while keeping the focus on imagination rather than getting every detail perfect.

Across the UAE, family-focused experiences are receiving extra attention in 2026. The country’s Year of Family places stronger family connections at the centre of its national priorities, while the first Early Childhood Week, announced for 16 to 22 November, will bring hundreds of activities focused on children, learning and family participation. There is a clear appetite for time spent together.

That makes the idea behind Chery Kids particularly relevant. The platform is built around opportunities for children and families to explore, learn and create together, with Chery Got Talent returning after its first edition earlier this year. At the showroom, the car becomes a blank canvas. Parents can lend a hand, children can take the creative lead, and everyone gets a reason to put their phones aside for a while.

For Chery UAE, part of AWR Automotive and AW Rostamani Group, the workshops also connect with its wider “For Family” brand proposition, unveiled at Auto China 2026. But the appeal here is much closer to home. It is about seeing a child proudly present a design they made themselves.

Families can register in advance through the event’s online registration form. With three showroom dates across Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi, Chery Got Talent gives little designers a creative date to look forward to, and parents a chance to make something memorable out of an ordinary Saturday.
