The 28th edition of Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) kicks off on 27 June, launching a 66-day citywide celebration with unbeatable retail offers, daily entertainment, concerts, comedy shows, and prizes worth dreaming about. Organised by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), DSS 2025 promises a summer well spent, with themed shopping seasons, dazzling events, and over 7,500 offers stretching across hotels, dining, fitness, and lifestyle.

Kicking off the festival is the Summer Holiday Offers running from 27 June to 17 July with discounts of 25 to 75 percent across 800+ brands and 3,000+ outlets. Participating malls include Dubai Festival City Mall, Mercato Mall, Majid Al Futtaim malls, and Dubai Outlet Mall, along with loyalty activations from AURA and Tickit and the signature Lucky Receipt promotion that gives away 210 prizes across 10 participating brands including electronics, luxury watches, and jewellery. The Opening Weekend Concerts at City Centre Mirdif and Dubai Festival City Mall on 27 and 28 June feature American dance crew Sabrina, Arab pop artist Reina Khoury, Abri & the Band, Noel Kharman, Jadal, and Al Shami, with roaming acts bringing life to both venues. On the same dates, Theatre by QE2 presents a live Adele tribute show by Helen Ward-Jackson. Dubai Opera brings a double bill of musical brilliance with Jazziyat ft. Banah on 27 June and Adonis Live on 3 July. For comedy fans, Atul Khatri performs at Dubai College on 27 June, Jeeveshu Ahluwalia headlines at Jumeirah Zabeel Saray on 29 June, and Filipino comedians take over Dubai World Trade Centre for the Pinoy Comedy Mixtape the same night.

On 28 June, the Dubai Hills Mall Indoor Run, powered by Skechers, invites fitness fans to run across 1 km, 2.5 km, 5 km, or 10 km routes inside the mall, complete with upbeat music, aid stations, medals, and prizes. Meanwhile, Dubai’s iconic cartoon duo Modesh and Dana make surprise appearances at Ibn Battuta Mall and The Outlet Mall on 28 and 29 June with giveaways and family fun. At Zabeel Theatre, catch We Call It Ballet, a contemporary dance experience that blends choreography with immersive staging.
