Global Village Dubai Is Now Back with Season 30!

After an unexpected pause, Dubai’s most beloved multicultural destination reopens its gates on April 20 and the timing could not feel better.

  • Global Village Dubai reopens on April 20, 2026 from 5pm daily until midnight
  • Season 30 features 30 pavilions representing over 90 cultures worldwide
  • More than 3,500 shopping outlets and 250 dining options return this week
  • Over 200 rides and 40,500 shows are back for the remainder of the season

Global Village Dubai is coming back on Monday April 20, and if you live in this city you already know what that means. It means the evening suddenly has somewhere worth going. It means the kids have a reason to finish their homework on time. It means the kind of night out that costs AED 25 at the gate and somehow makes you feel like you have been to fifteen countries in four hours. After an unexpected pause mid-season following the regional tensions earlier this year, the return feels less like a routine reopening and more like something the city genuinely needed.

Since the news of the US-Iran ceasefire surfaced, UAE residents have been eagerly awaiting the destination’s reopening, with social media buzzing with anticipation well ahead of the official announcement. That hunger is understandable. Season 30 launched in October under the theme A More Wonderful World, with 30 pavilions representing over 90 cultures, more than 3,500 shopping outlets and over 250 dining options, making it one of the most ambitious editions in the destination’s history. Everything that was there before the closure is still there. The rides, the food, the performances, the sense of organised beautiful chaos that makes Global Village unlike anything else in the region.

The attraction will reopen at 5pm on April 20 and operate daily from 5pm to midnight. Season 30 features 30 pavilions, more than 3,500 shopping outlets, over 250 dining options, more than 450 performers across the site and a fairground area with up to 200 rides and games. The upgraded dragon in the lake with new fire effects is back. The expanded Fiesta Street for food is back. The Dessert District, formerly The Railway Market, is back. And for families with younger children, The Little Wonderers at Carnaval, the illuminated indoor adventure park with obstacle courses, climbing structures, slides and ball pits, is still on the calendar.

For Dubai residents who have been doing the same rotation of malls and restaurants through the pause, this is a genuinely different kind of evening. The pavilions offer the kind of browsing that actually surprises you, the traditional Emirati wear and Turkish lamps, the Persian carpets and Indian street snacks and African craft goods that you can not find at any mall in any neighbourhood in this city. Since opening in 1997, Global Village has become one of the most popular attractions in the country and welcomed a record-breaking 10.5 million visitors last season. Those numbers reflect something real: this is a place people return to, year after year, because it consistently delivers.

Tickets start from AED 25. The season runs until May 10, which means the window from now is short. Three weeks of evenings. Make the most of them.
