Dubai’s sports enthusiasts have a new haven. Apparel Group, the region’s leading retailer, has officially opened the first ASICS store in the UAE at the iconic Dubai Mall.
This flagship store signifies a significant milestone for both companies, marking the sixth ASICS outlet in the GCC region and boasting an impressive 146 sqm space. The grand opening ceremony, held on January 26th, 2024, was graced by the presence of international guest Eilish McColgan, a three-time Olympian and British/European Record Holder for the 10km and 5km races. Joining her were Sima Ganwani Ved, Apparel Group Founder and Chairwoman, and Seiji Hori, ASICS General Manager.
More than just a retail space, the launch event embodied ASICS’ philosophy of “Anima Sana In Corpore Sano” (A Sound Mind in a Sound Body). Guests experienced a unique blend of sport and culture, featuring the unveiling of the Spring/Summer 2024 Running Campaign featuring the ASICS Gel Nimbus 26. They also witnessed the innovative Running Gait Analysis service, which helps runners find the perfect shoe for their individual style, and immersed themselves in a taste of Japan through authentic cuisine, performances by Japanese drummers, and a unique shoe customization experience.
