The H Dubai’s renowned spa is transforming into Santai Spa by Mandara, launching on May 8th, 2024. This rebranding deepens the connection with Balinese culture, offering guests an authentic escape focused on relaxation and rejuvenation.
The name “Santai” translates to “relaxation” and “recuperation” in Indonesian, reflecting the spa’s core philosophy. Guests can expect a holistic experience that engages all senses, a departure from the fast pace of modern life and a commitment to traditional Balinese wellness.
Santai Spa by Mandara offers a variety of signature treatments, all designed to be a symphony for the senses. Each experience begins with a ritualistic foot bath, setting the tone for the retreat. Guests can then indulge in authentic massage treatments that utilize acupressure, palm pressure, and soothing strokes to refresh mind and body. Treatments conclude with a choice of traditional teas or nourishing homemade drinks, along with a handcrafted tridhatu parting gift.
Signature offerings include the Balinese massage, the unique Mandara Massage (combining five massage styles!), and premium ELEMIS facials. Highly skilled Balinese therapists, trained at the prestigious flagship location in Bali, bring over 14 years of experience and the wisdom of ancient Balinese techniques to every session.
The spa elevates the experience further with bespoke blends of essential oils and body scrubs, crafted in-house. Guests can choose from four exquisite body scrubs like Coffee and Clay or Coconut and Turmeric, each designed to address specific needs. Custom essential oil blends are also available, catering to dry skin, sore muscles, and stress relief.
“Santai Spa by Mandara represents a harmonious blend of cultural heritage and contemporary luxury,” says Sophie Blondel, the General Manager of The H Dubai. “This new branding underscores our dedication to providing an oasis where guests can unwind, rejuvenate, and experience the essence of Bali without leaving Dubai.”
Santai signifies more than relaxation; it embodies a philosophy and ancient tradition deeply rooted in Balinese culture!
