A watch can be much more than something checked before heading out for a meeting. For collectors, the real fascination often lies beneath the dial, in the tiny gears, springs and mechanisms that keep time moving. That appreciation for mechanical craftsmanship is finding a new expression in Dubai, where Titan Vetra brings Indian watchmaking into the spotlight at Mall of the Emirates.
The Tata Group-owned watchmaker has unveiled its first experiential space in Dubai, open until 2 November 2026. At its centre is Vetra, Titan’s first in-house automatic mechanical movement, marking a significant step from designing the face of a watch to engineering the mechanism that powers it.
For anyone who enjoys understanding how a timepiece works, Vetra’s 7A series offers an interesting look beneath the surface. Built around a single mechanical architecture, the movement supports complications including a 72-hour power reserve, GMT functionality and a Big-Date display.
Every movement is hand-assembled and individually tested. That’s where the detail matters. Vetra now powers Titan’s new Signature Automatics, bringing its mechanical engineering into a collection that visitors can explore at the Dubai showcase.
The move also reflects a wider interest in traditional watchmaking, where mechanical craftsmanship and tangible engineering offer something different from the convenience of digital timekeeping. In a market such as Dubai, where specialist watch boutiques and luxury retail experiences attract collectors and curious shoppers alike, the opportunity to see the movement up close adds another dimension to the purchase experience.

Beyond the mechanics, Titan’s collections reveal how differently Indian design can translate into a timepiece.
Nebula takes a high-horology approach, translating traditional Indian art forms and specialist craftsmanship into watches made from solid 18-carat gold. These are pieces intended to be treasured across generations.
Raga celebrates women and their multiple identities through a collection shaped around individual expression. Meanwhile, Edge takes a quieter approach, with ultra-slim profiles and minimalist design, now extending Titan’s signature slimness into mechanical watchmaking. For those drawn to more intricate engineering, the showcase also features novelties from the automatic range, including a flying tourbillon. Every collection has its own character.
A visit to Mall of the Emirates offers a closer look at the brand’s regional ambitions, too. Titan currently operates 44 exclusive stores across the region, including 31 in the UAE, and says it is the first watch brand with exclusive stores in all seven emirates. Over the next five years, it plans to open 70 additional exclusive stores across the region. Dubai is an important part of that expansion.
From Vetra’s intricate mechanics to Nebula’s 18-carat gold craftsmanship, Titan is giving watch enthusiasts a closer look at Indian horology. Visit its experiential space at Mall of the Emirates before it closes on 2 November and discover what’s happening beneath the dial!
