For many, that seasonal shift also means a return to Global Village Dubai, which will reopen for Season 31 on Wednesday, 14 October 2026.
Since opening in 1997, Global Village has grown from a seasonal attraction into one of the city’s most recognisable places for meeting, eating, shopping and wandering between cultures. Last season alone, it welcomed 10.5 million visitors, highlighting just how firmly it sits within Dubai’s leisure calendar.
For families, the appeal is rarely just one attraction. A visit can begin with children racing towards rides, move into an evening of international street food and finish with a live performance before everyone heads home. That mix is part of the destination’s rhythm.
One food stop becomes three, a quick shopping trip turns into browsing another pavilion and a planned ride can become an entire Carnaval session. Global Village’s current offering spans cultural pavilions, international dining, shopping, live entertainment and more than 160 rides and games at Carnaval.
Season 31 will run from October 2026 through May 2027, giving residents and visitors months of cooler-weather opportunities to return. Global Village has also confirmed that more announcements covering new and enhanced experiences will follow as opening day approaches.
That sense of discovery is important. Previous seasons have introduced experiences ranging from Dragon Kingdom and Gardens of the World to new entertainment formats, while the destination’s dining scene has grown into a major part of the visit. During Season 30, more than 200 restaurants, cafés and street food stalls were part of the experience.
For Dubai families, that variety changes the meaning of a night out. Parents can browse international products while children move between attractions, friends can meet after work for food, and tourists can experience multiple cultures without leaving the city.
