From celebrity workouts to neighbourhood walks, Dubai’s 10th edition makes daily movement a shared goal.
- Dubai Fitness Challenge returns from 31 October to 29 November 2026.
- More than 16 million participants have joined across nine editions.
- Anthony Joshua, Mo Farah and Rory McIlroy have supported 30×30.
- Residents can choose any activity for thirty minutes daily.
A quick walk after dinner, a cycle before work or a weekend workout with friends can turn exercise into a habit that sticks. That simple idea sits at the centre of the Dubai Fitness Challenge, returning from 31 October to 29 November 2026 for its 10th edition. The invitation is straightforward: move for 30 minutes every day, for 30 days, and make the routine your own.
Dubai has seen some extraordinary fitness moments over the years. Anthony Joshua boxed on the Burj Al Arab helipad during the inaugural 2017 edition, while Sir Mo Farah led community running sessions at Palm Jumeirah Fitness Village in 2018. Then came Joe Wicks, who parachuted onto Skydive Dubai in 2019 before leading a major high-intensity interval training session. Those were headline-grabbing scenes. The everyday effort matters just as much.
Since its launch in 2017, the Challenge has welcomed more than 16 million participants across nine editions, including over three million in 2025 alone. Its reach extends beyond professional athletes and large-scale events. A family walking together along the waterfront, colleagues taking an active break or friends meeting for a run can all make 30×30 their own. Small steps count.

Not everyone wants to spend an hour in a gym. Some prefer a morning jog before Dubai’s day gets busy, while others find their rhythm in a group class or an evening walk once temperatures ease. The 30×30 format leaves room for those differences, asking residents and visitors to fit 30 minutes of movement into each day rather than follow one prescribed workout.
Past editions have offered plenty of memorable ways to get moving. In 2020, football greats including Luis Figo, Carles Puyol and Clarence Seedorf appeared at Dubai Sports World. Roberto Carlos later coached young players at NAS Sports Complex in 2024, while golfer Rory McIlroy discussed the Challenge during the DP World Tour Championship in 2025. Another striking moment arrived in 2021, when parkour athlete Lynn Jung ran along the exterior of the Burj Khalifa.
The next chapter belongs to the public. Parks, beaches, schools, workplaces and neighbourhoods all have a place in the Challenge, whether the plan is a brisk walk or a structured training session. No sporting credentials required.
Running until 29 November, the 10th edition gives Dubai residents, families, schools and workplaces another reason to make movement part of the month. Choose an activity that fits your day, bring someone along and register for free at the Dubai Fitness Challenge website. Thirty minutes is a manageable place to start.
