In a resounding commitment to sustainable transportation, BMW AGMC, in partnership with Dubai Autodrome – a subsidiary of Union Properties – has unveiled a groundbreaking move by installing 20 cutting-edge Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations. Positioned at the UAE’s premier multipurpose motorsport and entertainment facility, this initiative marks a significant leap towards fostering a green mobility landscape. AGMC stands as the exclusive importer for BMW Group in Dubai, Sharjah, and the Northern Emirates.
The newly established charging stations are strategically aimed to support BMW’s VIP e-mobility fleet designated for use during the 2023 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP28) hosted in the UAE. Beyond the summit, these stations will continue to serve BMW AGMC customers, ensuring ongoing access to convenient and eco-friendly charging facilities. All 20 EV charging stations are powered by Dubai Autodrome’s monumental 2.8 MWp solar power project, a testament to their commitment to renewable energy.

The installation at Dubai Autodrome constitutes a pivotal addition to BMW AGMC’s Destination Chargers project, commenced in 2023. This initiative aims to construct a comprehensive network of EV chargers across the UAE. Over 100 EV chargers have been successfully installed this year, enhancing convenience for BMW’s electric vehicle customers, with plans for further installations in 2024.
