Bollywood quiz nights in Dubai have a very specific energy that is difficult to replicate anywhere else. The moment someone shouts the wrong answer to a song from the 1990s and half the table erupts, the moment a clip plays and three people simultaneously mime the dialogue before the question is even finished, the moment a team that has been quietly trailing all night suddenly pulls ahead on a round about Shah Rukh Khan films. Indi 16 at Citymax Hotels has been bottling that energy for a while now with Loki’s Bollywood Quiz, and on November 5, it is getting a Diwali makeover that makes it one of the more genuinely fun festive plans available in Bur Dubai this season.
The Diwali special edition of Loki’s Bollywood Quiz runs from 8:30pm on 5 November 2026 at Indi 16, with prizes worth up to AED 10,500 up for grabs across the evening. The prize pool spans sponsors including The Entertainer, Ferns N Petals, Vocca Chocolates, E3K Jewellery, Titan and Indi 16 itself, covering fashion, florals, fine chocolate, jewellery and more. It is the kind of prize haul that makes you genuinely want to study your Bollywood filmography before you arrive.
Bur Dubai in November has a quality that the rest of the year does not quite replicate. The temperature is finally manageable, the streets feel festive without being chaotic, and the South Asian community that gives this neighbourhood its particular warmth is in full celebratory mode for Diwali week. Indi 16 sits right inside that energy. The venue has built a loyal following through its events programming, attracting groups of friends who have made the Bollywood Quiz a standing calendar fixture and newcomers who show up once and book the next one before they leave.
Loki’s Bollywood Quiz works because it does not take itself too seriously. The questions are genuinely challenging without being designed to humiliate. The format rewards team effort rather than individual encyclopaedic knowledge of Bollywood. And the Diwali edition specifically layers festive giveaways and seasonal atmosphere into a format that already delivers on pure entertainment value. A group that arrives having seen two different films between them can still have an excellent time. A group of serious Bollywood fans will have a genuinely competitive one.
Office groups looking for a Diwali plan that is not a formal dinner. Friend groups who want to actually do something together rather than sit at a restaurant making small talk. Couples who want a festive night out with a bit of edge to it. The Bollywood Quiz Diwali edition is flexible enough to work for all three, which is relatively rare for a ticketed event in this format.
Prizes worth AED 10,500 are on the table. The questions will test you. Bur Dubai in Diwali week is the right setting for exactly this kind of evening.
Reserve your spot by calling 050 461 7994 or send a DM to @indi16dxb on Instagram. The event starts at 8:30pm on November 5. Go with your most competitive friend and your deepest Bollywood knowledge!
