Dubai Airports Brings Dubai Fitness Challenge to Colleagues, Guests and Families at DXB

From pre-flight yoga to family sports days, movement finds a place at DXB.

  • DXB brings complimentary yoga, breathwork and fitness sessions to travelling guests.
  • Be Relax hosts the sessions at Terminal 1’s Concourse D.
  • Dubai Airports colleagues and families can enjoy activities throughout November.
  • Cycling, padel, silent disco walks and team sports feature in the programme.

Airport time usually means watching departure boards, finding a coffee and checking how long remains before boarding. But a little movement can change the mood of a travel day. Dubai Fitness Challenge at DXB is making room for that pause, with complimentary yoga, breathwork and fitness sessions for guests, alongside a wider November programme for airport colleagues and their families.

A long flight can leave even the most energetic traveller looking for a chance to stretch. At Dubai International, guests passing through Terminal 1 can take a different kind of break on 7 and 8 November. Be Relax will host complimentary yoga, breathwork and fitness sessions at the Fitness Village in Concourse D, between 6pm and 9pm. No gym bag required.

The idea is refreshingly simple. Travellers can step away from the usual airport routine, take part in a guided session and return to their journey feeling a little more settled. According to Dubai Airports’ event information, the yoga and breathwork sessions last 20 minutes, with no advance booking required. That’s a manageable pause between check-in and boarding.

Beyond the departure gates, movement is taking a more social form across the Dubai Airports community. Throughout November, employees can take part in cycling, padel, basketball, badminton, cricket and volleyball, with selected activities also open to their families. There are quieter options too, including sunrise yoga.

One of the more unexpected additions is a silent disco power walk, giving colleagues a chance to get moving together outside the usual workday routine. It sounds like a rather good way to turn an ordinary walk into a shared activity. The family programme also connects with the UAE’s Year of Family, putting time together at the centre of the initiative.

Dubai Fitness Challenge has grown well beyond a month of workout classes. More than 16 million participants have joined across its first nine editions, with the 2026 edition running from 31 October to 29 November and inviting residents and visitors to complete 30 minutes of activity each day. The idea is consistency, not competition.

Bringing that spirit into DXB gives the challenge a distinctly airport-shaped setting. A traveller might fit in breathwork before a flight, while an employee could spend the morning cycling or join colleagues for a game of padel later in the month. Small windows count.

For guests travelling through Terminal 1 on 7 or 8 November, the invitation is simple: make a little space for movement before taking off. And for the people who keep DXB running, November brings plenty of reasons to get active together.
