The Opera Night: Iconic Songs of All Time

Opera is a dramatic story told through song. It is considered by many to be the most complete art form, combining all of the elements of art, words, music, drama and dance. The unique element in opera is the use of music to convey an entire story/plot. This is based on the feeling that music can communicate people’s reactions and emotions better than words or pictures.

Join us for a sophisticated night to enjoy the most famous opera arias from iconic movies. Internationally-recognized opera singers Corinne Metni (Soprano) and Eliane Saadeh (Mezzo-soprano) will bring you the best of what opera has to offer — from Puccini and Offenbach to Morricone and the Godfather hits. Guest Artists Klaudia Olborska-Szymańska (violin), Mariola Sokolowska (piano), Tala Tutunji (piano) will also showcase their immense talent.

Once Upon A Classic – Cello and Piano Concert Duo

For those who deeply enjoy the soothing sound of the cello and the melodious piano, it is rare to witness and experience these instruments together at a live concert. The cello, derived from the violin music family, is known to be a great compliment to the piano. It creates harmonious tunes as the instruments blend together between notes and sustain each other for long.

With a rich and expressive sound, the cello is an instrument that can relieve tension and elevate the senses creating therapeutic music that has the power to speak to the soul. If you’re looking to de-stress and calm down this is where you need to be.

The concert will revolve around the concept of fairy tales around the world brought to life through music by composers such as Dmitri Shostakovich, Francis Poulenc, Leos Janacek.

The audience will get to see the genius of the Magamedova-Gray duo, made up of cellist Johannes Gray and pianist Anastasiya Magamedova. Together they have performed in Lincoln Center in New York City, Pierre Boulez Saal in Berlin and Cité de la Musique of the Philharmonic of Paris, as well as many other festivals and venues across Europe and North America.

Experience the unique amalgamation of melodious & calming tunes of Cello and Piano at the Once Upon A Classic  at Theatre of Digital Art.
